Limited Edition Blade Runner Hard Drive | LaCie x Starck

I need a new hard drive and I'm looking at this new Blade Runner by LaCie and Philippe Starck.

Limited to only 9,999 units - The device has 4TB of memory and comes equipped with 10GB of complimentary 'wuala secure cloud storage' and user-friendly backup software using high-speed USB 3.0 as its main interface. It also features an LED power button indicator in the shape of Starck's logo.

price: $299

Magic words to convince me to get this: "Limited" and "Starck"

Imagined by Philippe Starck

The LaCie Blade Runner is more than just a beautifully designed hard drive – it's a creation by world famous designer Philippe Starck that represents the combination of human and machine. The LaCie Blade Runner's sharp, cage-like enclosure surrounds an almost anthropomorphic, liquid metal interior. This metaphor was inspired by a cyber future illustrated in the 1982 movie "Blade Runner," and begs the question – just how much control do we have over technology?

Zikmu Parrot Wireless speakers by Philippe Starck

Philippe Starck in collaboration with audio manufacturer Parrot created Zikmu - A speaker system that features a pair of 2.5-foot tall columns each reminiscent of the bell end of a trumpet.
The system offers a docking station for playing tracks instantly from your iPod/iPhone/iPod Touch. It also features WiFi audio playback for compatible devices, streaming tracks from Mac/PC devices via bluetooth and RCA line-in input for analog audio sources.

Four colors to choose from

comes with a remote control that allows users to control their tracks from the comfort of their couch.

Recyclable packaging that looks like a brass musical instrument’s carrying case.
