Volkswagen | New Beetle Art Gallery Charity Auction and Exhibition

Hong Kong, 11 May 2010 - Unique design, optimal performance and exquisite workmanship have made the Volkswagen Beetle one of the most remarkable cars in automobile history. Since its debut, the Beetle has always been "the people’s car", adored by car enthusiasts. With more than 21 millions units sold since its launch, the Beetle has definitely become a modern cultural icon. To showcase the car’s unique combination of classic and contemporary style, 33 units of New Beetle models, specially created by different designers and artists, are on display at Gateway from today to 30th May, 2010, prior to their public auction. All proceeds will be donated to the Po Leung Kuk in support of their social services.[Media Release]

Volkswagen Bik.e | Foldable Electric Bicycle

VW has just introduced this foldable electric bike called 'Bik.e'. A battery powered pedaless bicycle that folds into a flat disc and fits nicely into the spare tire compartment found in the bottom of most car trunks.
